Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Support Coordinator?
Support coordination helps you make the most out of your NDIS plan. Here's how:
It helps you understand and use your NDIS plan to reach your goals.
It connects you with NDIS providers, community resources, and government services.
It boosts your confidence and skills in managing your supports effectively.
A Support Coordinator partners with you to learn how to use your NDIS plan well. Together, we will connect you with a range of supports to help you manage daily tasks, stay connected, live independently, and be part of your community.
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Sceme (NDIS) provides much needed funding to people with disabilities who qualify. This funding helps them have a better life by:
Spending more time with family and friends.
Being more independent.
Learning new things.
Finding jobs or volunteering.
Connecting with local services like doctors, community groups, sports clubs, and schools.
The NDIS also informs participants about the help available from each state and territory government.
How do I get a NDIS plan?
First off you must be eligible to qualify for the NDIS you must:
Be an Australian citizen or hold a Permanent or a Special Category visa

If you think you are eligible for the NDIS, you can:
Contact Social Futures (NDIS Orange NSW) or Mission Australia (Local Partner) and ask them to support you to connect with local disability supports or apply to the NDIS if eligible.
